I have also updated this review in various sections below according to my experience with this player.)I think Toshiba should be happy that they get one star out of this unit from me!! This is a very poorly designed 3D blu ray player. The software of this player is in such bad state that if you try and tweak around a little, it will freeze on you. And once frozen nothing will work. (As other reviewers have also stated, not even the power button.) The only way out is to unplug the unit. The freezing issue is so frequent that it makes this unit almost useless. Lets me give you a brief on what my take on this blu ray 3D capable player is:Remote: (UPDATE Jan 5th, 2011: Forgot to mention before, no backlight on the remote as well. Another thing I have noticed is that the remote has a very short range and sensitivity is poor.)Little confusing with the menu button. Too many of those are present and you have to kind of remember which one will do what. Apart from that there is no mute button on the remote. Everything else looks fine and easy to use. I like this Toshiba Satellite L655-S5065RD 15.6-Inch Notebook PC - Helios Red Excellent Laptop at a Great PriceBy Ruth LoweAs a college student, I was looking for a laptop that wasn’t too expensive but still had good performance. This Satellite L655-S5065 has the new Intel i3 processor, a 320GB hard drive, 4GB of RAM, and it came at a great price! I chose a Toshiba because after hearing of the countless stories of my fellow students having problems with their laptops, I was looking for a brand that wouldn’t have hardware, battery, freezing, or crashing problems, without paying $1500 for a Mac.I love everything about my new laptop. The fullsize keyboard is great; the keys aren’t too soft or squished together. The mouse pad is very responsive and has many of the scrolling and zooming features you’d find on a Mac, plus you can turn it off to prevent bumping it while typing. The battery life is up to 6 hours, which is considerably more than what I found when researching other laptops. Since I’m not planning on carrying my laptop with me to class every day, the weight is not a problem. The 15.6″ screen is also very sharp and clear. The laptop has a beautiful red finish, but it does show fingerprints and smudges. For me this is not a problem because I take the time to wipe it down with a cloth but for some people it may be annoying. Finally, the speed is great, I’ve never noticed it running slow or taking a long time to open programs. Unfortunately, the replacement also had the same problem- but not as obvious- so we kept it. After removing all the trial junk that comes with a new laptop, am very happy with the purchase and price. Screen is huge, widescreen and bright.
